The Texas Artists Joaquin Castro Wants Added to the Library of Congress
For the past few years, San Antonio Congressman Joaquin Castro has nominated creative works by Texan and Latino artists to the Library of Congress’s archive. His lists tend to focus on artists who’ve made significant contributions to their respective fields yet haven’t, for whatever reason, had their work registered in the archive. This isn’t something every member of Congress does, but Castro seems focused on finding opportunities to feel useful while serving in the governing minority, which can otherwise be frustrating.
