Why go to Italy to get an awkward photo of yourself pretending to hold up a tilted tower when you can head to the Panhandle? Just outside Groom, a town of about 550 situated along a fragment of historic Route 66, a water tower stands tall and askew, with two of its four legs floating above the ground. Ralph Britten bought it in 1981 for his truck stop, then decided to use a smaller tank instead.
