Dallas International Film Festival to Host World Premieres of Two Texas Monthly Films

Two feature films executive produced by Texas Monthly will make their world premieres next week at the 2025 Dallas International Film Festival, which is celebrating its inaugural year as an Academy Award–qualifying event. “We’re thrilled to bring these two incredible films into the world in Dallas, and at such an exciting moment for the festival,” said Megan Creydt, Texas Monthly’s executive producer of TV, film, and podcasts. “It’s an exciting moment for us as well,” added Scott Brown, Texas Monthly’s president. “These films mark yet another evolution in the kind of storytelling Texas Monthly and our partners can bring into the world.”Take It Away: The Rise and Fall of Tejano Hollywood will premiere at the Texas Theatre on April 27 and will have a second screening…
